About Byrd on a Wyre:
This page is intended to be a comprehensive guide to Byrds-related resources on the Internet. If you know of a site or resource that should be here, please let me know.
I gave this page a massive overhaul in early '98. Originally I sorted the resources by resource type, but now I've reconfigured it so they're sorted by subject. That way, someone who's only interested in, say, Clarence White, can find all the Clarence White resources in one spot rather than having to page through the whole thing. To facilitate this process, I've added the Fast Forward section above.
By popular demand, I've added lots and lots of links to lyrics, chords and tablatures. I probably get more mail looking for lyrics and tabs than I do on any other subject.
I've also had a lot of people writing to tell me about pages devoted to individual Byrds that appear on other Byrds sites. Even though there were already links to all the front pages of these sites, I have added references to these pages with an additional link to the front page of the site. Hopefully this will help others find the information they're looking for more easily.
Finally, I added a section for tape traders. If you have a page with Byrds-related tradeables, let me know and I'll add it in that section.

Passenger Side
|
Passenger Side (P2) is a mailing list that focuses on insurgent country (e.g., Uncle Tupelo, Son Volt, Wilco, Blue Mountain, Old 97s, Whiskeytown, Freakwater, the Schramms, Richard Buckner, the Waco Brothers), with a healthy amount of discussion concerning renegade country types (e.g., Jimmie Dale Gilmore, Kelly Willis, Dale Watson, Don Walser, Big Sandy & His Fly-Rite Boys, Junior Brown, Lucinda Williams, Joe Ely, and others deemed too country for modern corporate Nashville). List members are also happy to discuss classic country music, Nashville wickedness, retail, radio and record label practices, and anything else that relates to their passion for hearing honest and innovative country music. To find the subscription commands check out the Passenger Side Page on Chuck Taggart's Gumbo Pages, or contact the list administrator, Laura Levy lal@u.washington.edu.
